If you live in the Amesbury area you already know that with the nice weather comes tons of local events that help us to enjoy the season. It is officially summer, and this weekend be on the lookout for all the fun events you, your family, and friends can be a part of! Amesbury is a desirable place to live, and part of the attraction is sure to be to the sense of community. In honor of this rich community, we celebrate the 120th Amesbury Days! Amesbury Days started as a one-day festival in 1899 and has evolved into a week-long series of events and programs for every member of the family. Check out some of our favorite upcoming events below, and mark your calendars!

21st Annual Block Party, Thursday, June 27th

            The Amesbury Chamber of Commerce kicks off Amesbury Days with its 21st Annual Block party at the Main St. Congressional Church on Thursday, June 27th from 5:30-8:00pm. This family event includes food vendors, face painting, pony rides, and a Dunk Tank. Admission is free. 

Beer and Music Walk, Friday, June 28th

            This year’s Beer and Music walk will include samples from over 20 different breweries, and stops at four local locations. The walk is from 5:30-8:30pm, and it is strongly encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time before they are sold out. The walk begins at Silvaticus Brewery, and ends are Barewolf Brewery. If you like local beer, live music, and supporting small businesses, this is the event for you!

Carriagetown Car Show, Sunday, June 30th

Visit downtown Amesbury from 9:00 am- 2pm to check out antique cars, hot rods, and motorcycles in the streets of the town! Admission for the car show is free, and is a memorable experience for all ages. If you wish to register your car to participate in the show, check out the websitehere.

Fireworks and Music, Thursday, July 4th

            The Amesbury Days series concedes with the Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration at Woodsom Farm. Enjoy food vendors, live music, and the fireworks show in the beauty of the farm. This event is enjoyed by the entire family, and begins at 7:00pm, with fireworks starting at dusk, around 9:00pm. Parking is available at Woodsom Farm, Cashman Elementary School and Amesbury High School.
