Friday Five – Jordan Cashman
The point of our newest series, Friday Five is to introduce and celebrate people in our community! As we all well know, the north shore and the greater Newburyport area is a special place to be able to live & work. We want to highlight the people who appreciate and support this community and continue to make it better everyday! We are excited to launch this series with such a humble and kind person from this community, Jordan Cashman co-owner of SAGE in Newburyport. As many people from our community already know SAGE is a one stop shop for interior/exterior design, specialty items, floral design and inspiration. Jordan and her mother Beverly opened the store in 2013 and have been providing local residents with high quality in store accessories and top notch design services ever since. Thank you, Jordan for being such a essential part of our wonderful community!
What do you love about this community? How supportive everyone is of each other. The residents love to support their local businesses so and thats one of the (many) reasons we chose to open SAGE in Newburyport. Even businesses are truly about supporting one another and cheering each other on. Its truly a great community and we are so lucky to be here.
Favorite part of Newburyport? Being surrounded by so much beauty. I love the ocean and Plum Island is one of my favorite places on earth. We spend our Saturday nights during the summer on the island fishing, paddle boarding and picnicking. Sandy Point especially, its like a hidden gem and I could sit down there for hours.
One thing you do every single day? Everyday I try and be thankful for everything I have.
Last meal, what would it be? My last meal would have to be pizza. I can never say no to pizza.
How you knew the north shore was home: My husband is from Newburyport but moved to Hopkinton in high school, where we met. He started taking me up here when we started dating to visit friends and I immediately fell in love. After living in Boston and California we chose the North Shore as our permanent home and we are so happy to be here and are excited to raise our kids here one day.
