If you have children, the holidays can be an extra magical time! This upcoming weekend in Newburyport take advantage of the offerings of the season with your little ones as we start new traditions, and perpetuate old ones. This Saturday, December 16th you can join Immaculate Conception’s Choir for a Holiday Sing Along at the Firehouse Center for the Arts on Market Sq. Children are invited to participate in the songs, listen to the story of “The Night Before Christmas”, and even meet Santa after the show! It is a wonderful way to stir up the excitement of the season with your family!

Downtown Newburyport is the place to be for the adults of the family this Friday, December 15th from 6pm-9pm. Make your shopping list go by a little faster as you stroll through the shops downtown during the Holiday Invitation Night Encore. Whether you look forward to the season of shopping, or dread it, this night will bring some cheer to your chore as retailers role out the red carpet to provide refreshments, festive décor, and the best deals of the season! It is a great night to enjoy with a loved one, or on your own!

We need to take this time to remember what the season is all about. It can be overwhelming with gift buying, party preparing, and meal cooking. Allow yourself to let go of some of the items on your to-do list, and enjoy the events the season has to offer!
